About The Position

Under general supervision, a Recreation Program Leader will assist by performing clerical duties such as answering phones, taking messages, registration for classes, handling cash and deposit forms, and other administrative work. Under the Aquatic’s Division, all staff must train to become part of the facilities specialized safety team.

Requirements

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
First Aid
Understand and follow written and oral instructions
Excellent communication skills
Deal tactfully and effectively with staff, participants, and the public
Ability to remain calm and respond in emergency situations
Build for resiliency and adaptation
To fulfill the responsibilities of a professional rescuer, staff must be mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared to respond in emergencies. All staff are required to participate in dry-land workouts to maintain endurance and build strength.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance

Nice To Haves

Proficient in Microsoft suits (preferred)

Responsibilities

Greet clients and visitors
Handle incoming calls and other communications at the front desk (fax, emails, etc.)
Perform general office duties and provide excellent customer service
Handle the cash register and perform daily deposits
Update paperwork, maintain documents, write memorandums, and word processing
Enroll participants for lesson registrations and make transfers when applicable
Help organize and maintain office common areas
Maintain supply inventory and assist with cleaning duties around the facility
Participate in all Inservice meetings and training (Lifeguard, CPR, AED, First Aid. Training may include swimming and other water conditioning.
