As a Recreation Manager, you will be working with the Resort Leadership to ensure the overall supervision, coordination and implementation of guest activity programs and group recreation/leisure activity programs, pool activities, the children's club and fitness center. The Recreation Manager operates with substantial latitude in the supervision of the overall recreation program. Ensures that safety measures are always being followed and carried out. Keeps abreast of rules pertaining to but not limited to water safety. Directly responsible for the hiring, coaching, scheduling, payroll and providing direction and guidance in the recreation department. Provides outstanding guest/owner service at all times. Responsible for assisting the enhancement of services. Supervises pool activities, pools, and towel inventory control, as well as all other activity common areas. May be required to perform other reasonable duties as requested by management. To fulfill this role efficiently, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience: High School Diploma/GED 2+ years of Resort Recreation/Cruise Ship Entertainment or Resort/Hospitality management 2+ years of Managerial experience Able to work variable shifts to include weekends and holidays Ability to tolerate & work in outdoor temperatures and environment A courteous and professional demeanor must prevail when handling upset guests and difficult situations It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of experience Current First Aid and CPR certification Current certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training Child Development Associate (CDA) Schedule: Thursday-Monday 8am -430pm We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
