THIS POSITION WILL BE ASSIGNED TO THE CONROE SENIOR CENTER JOB SUMMARY With supervision, deliver programs and events directly to the public; open and close facilities; assist with planning, gathering and organizing supplies/equipment, set-up, assigning duties and take-down for programs and events; perform cursory cleanup of facility as needed; follow all City and Center policies and procedures; responsible for the care and safety of participants. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience in public program/event delivery and staff supervision. Experience in working with seniors. Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and customer service. Knowledge of cash handling. Education and Experience: Minimum age of 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of experience in a leadership role. Special Requirements: Possession of a valid class "C" Texas driver's license or higher. Ability to obtain relevant certifications within time period designated by supervisor. Must comply with City of Conroe direct deposit payroll policy. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: crouching, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, talking, visual acuity and walking.
