About The Position

Tahoe Donner Association is looking for a fun and personable Recreation Host to join our Recreation Operations Team! The Recreation Host assists in implementing recreation activities and programming. This position provides administrative support to recreation programs, prepares recreational facilities for participant use and provides guidance for classes, activities and special events. This position will also help provide support for Tahoe Donner special events, including, but limited to, day of event support, pre-event preparation and on-going event activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, business partners and employees. Ensures all staff meet or exceed the highest level of guest service in the performance of their duties. Uphold Tahoe Donner Association’s zero tolerance standard for sexual abuse and molestation by following protocols to protect participants from inappropriate behavior by staff, members, guests, public and other participants. Assist with recreation activities on a daily basis in the areas of recreation, and community/member events. Prepare recreational facilities for use; ensure appropriate equipment is available for programming and events; set-up and take-down of equipment; maintain a safe work environment at all activities. Provide support information on activities, schedules, and registration requirements to members, guests and public. Facilitate large and small group activities and community events; guide and participate in a variety of recreational activities (e.g.: music, art, sports and outdoor recreation.) Provide instruction and a safe environment for recreational activities, special events and programming.   • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certifications for infants, children and adults are required.
  • These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years relevant experience and/or training in recreation; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.
