Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred
Proven experience in a leadership role in the hospitality or recreation industry
Strong organizational and planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of recreational programs and trends
Budget management and financial acumen
Ability to lead and inspire a team
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a diverse and engaging recreational program for guests
Organize quality programs targeted to meet the needs and limits of a variety of guests; assist in the evaluation of events against both participant expectations and financial objectives; respond promptly and professionally to guest comments regarding programs
Lead and motivate a team of recreation staff, fostering a positive work environment
Design, coordinate and supervise recreational activities, events, and facilities targeted to meet the needs of guests as outlined in the resort's Business Plan
Interact with guests, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded
Manage the recreation budget and ensure cost-effective operations
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate joint activities and promotions
Maintain equipment, inventory, and supplies for recreational activities
Monitor guest satisfaction and feedback, making necessary improvements
Provide leadership and oversight to pool activies team, including but not limited to towel service, special event activations, life guard duties, & daily events
Partner with the Marketing Department to create and develop promotional materials for offered program
Present timely activities and programs including adjustments due to weather and seasonal fluctuations; design programs that attract targeted guest population; efficiency in using hotel’s resources to publicize program information; produce effective communications that are appropriate for the audience; effectively handle guests and clients by phone.
