This position performs professional and technical work planning, organizing, implementing and administering aquatic, athletic, and/or other recreation programs for Spokane County Parks and Recreation Department. The position allocated to this class is responsible, under the general direction of the Recreation Program Manager(s), for the administration of comprehensive year-round recreation programs, which may include: seasonal commercial aquatic facilities, pools, swimming beaches, campgrounds, youth and adult swim lessons, swim team, aquatic certification courses, family swim events, adult softball, volleyball and basketball leagues and tournaments, and numerous special events. Work is performed with considerable independence and evaluated through the achievement of program goals. TOTAL COMPENSATION: $67,169 - $94,003 annually. Total compensation is an estimate based upon base compensation, median retirement fund contributions, and current employer-paid health and related benefit contribution rates (including medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability, and leave). The actual total will vary depending upon each employee's enrollment choices.
