About The Position

THIS POSITION REQUIRES SOME WEEKDAY EVENINGS AND MOST WEEKENDS Applicant must be able to coach, facilitate and develop team sports for residents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working with children/adolescents, preferably in a recreation setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a current/valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or Bachelor Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field preferred.
• Lifeguard certification or ability to complete certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate planned recreational activities both on and off campus, according to a planned schedule, with the various groups of residential clients.
• This position will develop team sports opportunities for residents
• Work cooperatively in a team relationship with RBWO leadership and staff to provide supervised care and treatment during planned recreational activities.
• Work with summer recreation aides, interns, and volunteers to provide safe and therapeutic recreational activities as indicated by the client’s treatment plan.
• Maintain safe recreation areas, including gym, art room, weight room, fields, playgrounds, pool, and ropes course.
• Maintain stall and equine needs as directed.
