About The Position
Spend your summer by the beach at one of Nantucket’s most serene waterfront properties. The Wauwinet is seeking an energetic, guest-focused Recreation Attendant to help create memorable seaside experiences for our guests. This highly visible role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and delivering thoughtful service in a beautiful coastal setting. As a Recreation Attendant, you will support guests at our beach and recreation facilities, assisting with equipment, seating, and activities while ensuring every interaction reflects The Wauwinet’s exceptional hospitality standards. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Assist guests with recreational activities including bicycle and helmet setup, kayak and paddleboard preparation, and tennis court setup
- Provide beach chair, umbrella, and towel setup at both the Atlantic Ocean beach and Bay Beach
- Maintain knowledge of The Wauwinet’s amenities, services, and hours of operation
- Share information about the surrounding area, bike paths, and local attractions
- Ensure guests are informed of safety guidelines and priorities
- Oversee daily setup and breakdown of recreation areas including the beach, dock, Zen Deck, and tennis courts
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of all recreational equipment
- Report equipment issues promptly to management
- Complete end-of-day organization and storage of beach chairs and umbrellas
