About The Position
The Wauwinet, one of Nantucket’s most distinctive luxury waterfront resorts, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Seasonal Houseperson to join our Housekeeping team for the 2026 season. This essential role helps maintain the exceptional standards of cleanliness and comfort that define The Wauwinet guest experience. Housepersons support daily operations by ensuring public areas and service spaces remain pristine, organized, and welcoming. As a Houseperson, you will play an important behind-the-scenes role in creating a relaxing and memorable stay for every guest. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and remain motivated
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Professional, courteous, and service-oriented approach
- Working knowledge of the English language
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain hotel corridors, elevators, landings, vending areas, and public restrooms
- Ensure guest floor service areas and outdoor grounds meet resort cleanliness standards
- Stock linen and supply closets and provide needed items for Housekeepers
- Deliver and retrieve guest requests and housekeeping items promptly
- Assist Room Attendants and supervisors with daily operational support
