About The Position
The Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa is a 444-room resort in Rancho Mirage, offering luxurious hotel rooms with Spanish Colonial-inspired style and private patios or balconies. The Recreation Attendant is responsible for leading, directing, and controlling children at Kids Camp, ensuring a safe environment, and carrying out proper sign-in and sign-out procedures. They will also help children with daily activities and crafts, actively participate in camp activities, and maintain a professional appearance while enthusiastically interacting with guests and other departments.
Requirements
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work with guests of all ages
- Must have flexible schedule, work weekends and holidays
Nice To Haves
- Previous child care experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid/AED holder preferred,or ability to obtain certification
- Trust Line certification preferred
- Prior experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for the children involved in Kids Camp
- Responsible for carrying out the proper sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Responsible for helping the children carry out the day's activities and crafts. Before the day begins, you will need to understand your role in the day's activities.
- Energetically involved in the camp's activities.
- Maintain a neat, clean professional appearance.
- Enthusiastically greet and converse with guests
- Maintain clear communication with essential departments
- Actively participate in the assurance of the safety and fun of all programs
- Assist with general Resort duties as assigned
- Treat everyone, managers, associates and guests with courtesy and respect at all times
- Assist with routine cleaning of all recreation areas and equipment (sweeping, mopping, picking up, organizing and keeping track of inventory)
- Cross utilize in all areas of recreation when scheduled to do so
- Complete daily checklists in their entirety
- Properly complete recreation agreements as needed using a hose, rinse off the deck space daily
- Monitor the cleanliness of the deck space
- Organize chairs in an orderly fashion
- Maintain the lounge chairs with weekly cleaning
- Maintain the equipment used to clean the deck
- Respectfully assist guests
- Collect deck litter and remove full trash bins
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Attend all required safety training
