We invite you to join our team! - Activities Assistant Full-Time A degree in Therapeutic Recreation (Recreation) or Public Health is required. Experience with assessments and documentation in PCC or other EMR preferred. What You'll Do: As an Activities Assistant, you have a crucial role in planning and implementing a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities. Your creative ideas and enthusiasm will contribute to fostering a positive and lively atmosphere for our residents. Requirements

  • Qualifications of an Activities Assistant include:
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a Long-Term Care or senior living setting is preferred but not required - training will be provided
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Interest in the therapeutic needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities for residents
  • Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs
  • Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement a monthly activities calendar
  • Provide one-on-one support for residents who may need additional assistance
  • Foster a sense of community and social interaction among residents
  • Document and maintain records of residents' participation in activities
