SUMMARY:The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Recreation Manager in all aspects of the Recreation Department. To include, but not limited to the following: planning and execution of the family activities and annual events, assist with corporate group recreational activities and seasonal decorating. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree (GED), some college or technical schooling and a minimum of 3 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPR/First Aid/AED Certification preferred, or obtained within 90 days of hire. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations. Must be 18 years of age. Hold up to date CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Work to enhance the Guests experience so that each Guest becomes a repeat Guest. Must report on a regular basis to the Recreation Manager on all important issues concerning children, participants, Members and Guests in general. Maintain a clean, organized and safe play and work area at all times. Responsible for clocking in at the beginning of your shift and clocking out at the end of your shift. Conduct tours for groups, of areas including Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Cameron and Seagrove. Responsible for setting up various aspects of group recreation activities, including transportation, demonstrations, reservations, etc. Assist in the planning and execution of holiday activities and weekend activities. Provide new ideas for holiday décor. Because of the fluctuating demands of the resort’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions. Therefore, as an essential part of this position, the Recreation Coordinator will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help.
