About The Position

The Recreation Services Assistant helps with planning and implementing recreation programs for residents on a daily basis that will carry out the objectives of the facility as part of holistic total care for each individual.

• Strong customer service and social skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer a well-rounded social program, ensuring all activities conform to the criteria of federal, state, and local accreditation and licensing agencies or organizations
• Provide individual activities, in-room sensory stimulation to sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.
• Compile a month social program calendar and distribute to residents, using community resources in the development of programs.
• Write annual and quarterly notes on all residents and keep daily record of resident's participation.
• Transport residents to and from activity dayroom.
