About The Position
Will assist in planning and directing therapeutic recreation services to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives within the department and long term care guidelines Will assist in creating and handling the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events in an effort to engage residents Responsible for assisting in resident evaluation, makes recommendations in conjunction with other team members, resident, and caregiver Responsible for demonstrating time management skills, able to prioritize work, and organize tasks and activities Responsible for assisting with transportation and the safety or residents to and from community events and other appropriate outings Responsible for maximizing direct resident care services Maintains current and accurate records of participation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Therapeutic Recreation Degree (or related field) preferred
- Previous Therapeutic Recreation Assistant and/or Long Term care experience preferred
