About The Position

Tahoe Donner Association is looking for fun Recreation Leaders to join our Recreation operations! The Recreation Assistant Supervisor is responsible for all duties of the Recreation Leader/Host/Special Event Staff including, but not limited to leading and supervising activities, programs, and any related operations. In addition, the Recreation Assistant Supervisor will provide support to the Recreation Supervisor, by enforcing employee policies and standards, assisting with scheduling and shift coverage as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, business partners and employees. Ensures all staff meet or exceed the highest level of guest service in the performance of their duties. Uphold Tahoe Donner Association’s zero tolerance standard for sexual abuse and molestation by following protocols to protect participants from inappropriate behavior by staff, members, guests, public and other participants. Assist the Recreation Supervisor with the planning and implementation of recreation activities, special events and summer registration. Assists with inventory supplies, POS for product and programs, registering children in programs, communicating with guardians of program registration. Supervise and actively participate in recreation programs and operations. Will be expected to assist, substitute, and schedule oneself for Recreation programs. Develop and promote program safety procedures, documentation, and accountability. Responsible for set-up, maintenance, dismantling and storage of program props, signs, and other equipment as needed. Clean and maintain recreation area, supplies and equipment. Perform opening and closing procedures including securing facilities and maintaining Northwoods Clubhouse open space.   • Must be a high energy, self-starter, with keen interest and ability in outdoor adventure.
  • Experience teaching or working with children 7 to 14 years of age.
  • RTP Experience recommended.
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certifications for infants, children and adults are recommended.
  • AED Training may be provided if necessary
  • Requires possession of valid class C driver license with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the Association insurance carrier.
  • These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent plus one to two years’ relevant experience and/or training in recreation; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.
