About The Position

Emerge Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for Per diem Recreation Aide's for Resident activities. Weekend availability required Our Recreation Aide will be enthusiastic while leading age-appropriate activities for residents including arts and crafts, games and educational exercise. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Music or art background
• Experience with activities in a healthcare setting
• must have experience working with residents with dementia
• Must relate well with the residents and facility staff as well as exhibit a desire to perform all responsibilities of this position
• Works a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays in accordance with the monthly recreation schedule of activities.

Nice To Haves

• CTRS or CTRS eligible preferred and preferably college credits in the therapeutic recreation or related field
• Preferred two years of experience in recreation in a geriatric setting
• ability to work effectively as a team member
• Should be flexible with your schedule
