About The Position

Polar Field Services (PFS) is hiring Recovery Technicians to support a short-term offshore marine recovery mission involving high-value aerospace payloads and balloon systems. This temporary project runs approximately 3–6 weeks (March–April 2026) and includes pre-deployment training in Denver and international deployment to Brazil or Senegal . PFS covers all travel expenses. If you're experienced in marine, aerospace, or field logistics operations and can operate safely in dynamic offshore environments - this is a high-impact mission with a tight, skilled team. Expect extended operational days during recovery windows and real-time adaptation to mission conditions.

Requirements

  • Marine, offshore, aerospace, or remote field operations experience
  • Strong safety discipline and situational awareness
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on moving decks
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally

Nice To Haves

  • Rigging, HAZWOPER, DOT/IATA hazmat, offshore survival, and Portuguese or French language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with offshore crane lifts, rigging, and load stabilization
  • Support balloon and payload recovery operations
  • Assist with hazardous materials handling (including lithium battery containment)
  • Operate safely in marine environments with strict PPE and emergency protocols
  • Support staging, freight handling, equipment accountability, and field reporting

Benefits

  • $30–$33/hour while CONUS (training + staging)
  • Weekly rate while deployed overseas
