About The Position

At Independence Hall, we provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment. We are seeking passionate and innovative individuals to join our behavioral health programming. We are currently hiring a full time Recovery Specialist/Driver, responsible for the effective and efficient transportation of our patients at our Shrewsbury location. This position will also provide assistance to our treatment team, providing guidance and counseling support as needed. This position is Sunday-Wednesday, 7am-5pm.

Requirements

  • Valid Class D (Non-CDL) license in good standing
  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 2+ Years experience or education in substance abuse treatment and mental health disorders required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records and Motor Vehicle Records checks
  • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree, LADCII, or LADC Assistant highly preferred.
  • MAP, Narcan, or CPI training and certifications are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely shuttle patients to various destinations, following all traffic laws to ensure the safest possible operation of our vehicles.
  • Clean vehicles, notify management of any maintenance, mechanical problems, and inspections that are needed.
  • Keep a timely shuttle route
  • Oversees client activities to ensure compliance with program activities and agency policies.
  • Provides guidance as needed.
  • Provides crisis intervention and able to follow specific procedures in emergency situations.
  • Attends and participates in all meetings and maintains audit-ready patient records and program-specific forms in a timely manner, as required.
  • Completes individually assigned program-specific duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
