This role includes assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and tribal standards.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
One of the following licenses (or license-eligible status):
Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Approved or eligible to supervise clinical staff (per state and facility requirements)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with substance use and/or mental health disorders

Nice To Haves

Experience in inpatient or outpatient substance use disorder treatment
Strong working knowledge of clinical systems, documentation standards, quality assurance, and accreditation requirements
Familiarity with billing, utilization review, and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

Conduct clinical assessments, complete psychosocial evaluations, and develop preliminary and ongoing treatment plans for new and existing clients
Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches
Respond to clinical crises, assess risk, and address emergent client needs in coordination with the interdisciplinary team
Complete timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards
Participate in chart reviews, quality assurance activities, and utilization review processes
Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and recovery staff; provide clinical supervision when credentialed and approved
Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support facility operations and program goals
