This role includes assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and tribal standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • One of the following licenses (or license-eligible status):
  • Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Approved or eligible to supervise clinical staff (per state and facility requirements)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with substance use and/or mental health disorders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in inpatient or outpatient substance use disorder treatment
  • Strong working knowledge of clinical systems, documentation standards, quality assurance, and accreditation requirements
  • Familiarity with billing, utilization review, and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical assessments, complete psychosocial evaluations, and develop preliminary and ongoing treatment plans for new and existing clients
  • Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches
  • Respond to clinical crises, assess risk, and address emergent client needs in coordination with the interdisciplinary team
  • Complete timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in chart reviews, quality assurance activities, and utilization review processes
  • Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and recovery staff; provide clinical supervision when credentialed and approved
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support facility operations and program goals
