The Recovery and Resolution Plan (RRP) group manages the Recovery and Resolution Plan for TD Bank's US entities. This group functions under the US Treasury. The Recovery and Resolution Plan is governed by guidelines issued by US regulatory agencies and must be submitted to regulators according to established deadlines. These plans are comprehensive and necessitate coordinated engagement with stakeholders throughout the Bank. The Resolution Plan submission requires Stress scenario projection that is designed to ensure that the Bank can be liquidated in an orderly manner without causing wider adverse impacts on the financial systems. The Recovery Plan requires submitting results from a severe stress scenario to demonstrate the Bank's ability to recover from significant losses in liquidity and capital. The Recovery and Resolution Planning Manager leads work streams within the Recovery and Resolution Planning function, including development of required outputs, liaison with relevant stakeholders, briefings to senior management and production of associated reporting. This is a highly seasoned professional role requiring substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas. The role integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations. It involves interpreting internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommending courses of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services. The manager develops, maintains, and enhances processes, reports, procedures, and control frameworks, and manages the interpretation of new regulatory guidance, operationalizing it for responsible areas within the Bank to ensure regulatory expectations are met within owned work streams. The position also involves identifying risk associated with sharing Confidential Supervisory Information (CSI), executing control testing, and leading the development of distinct testing exercises to support crisis capabilities and/or resolvability of the Bank. The role includes developing specific sections of the recovery and resolution plans, coordinating and leading meetings as required, and acting as a technical expert / lead integrating cross-function understanding within their field of specialty. The manager independently manages end-to-end functional programs, solves or leads others to solve complex problems, and leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions. They use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify solutions, impacting the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within their area of accountability. Work is guided by policies and industry standards/methods, and the role requires communicating difficult concepts, converting information to compelling business context and advice, and influencing and gaining alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders. The manager works autonomously as the lead and guides others within their area of expertise.
