About The Position

This position will be responsible for functioning independently and responsible for data entry of all stocked supplies and gathering auditing and collating of the information to assist in the reduction of controllable expenses at a large state hospital.

Requirements

  • Ability to utilize a personal computer.
  • Knowledge of Supply Inventory Management System (SIMS Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication.
  • Knowledge of the methods for organizing and presenting data.
  • Ability to conduct meetings and to make presentations.
  • Ability to collect, record and analyze data relating to records or operational procedures.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to prepare reports.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Warehouse personnel in maintaining reasonable inventory stocking levels and usage hospital-wide, which includes implementation and auditing of all supply requisitions, purchase orders, and receiving reports to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Establishes and maintains all inventory files and record management in Warehouse.
  • Gathers, compiles, and analyzes data on high usage items.
  • Conducts field audits of data to ensure compliance with established procedures and controls and makes recommendations for remedial action as needed.
  • Assist warehouse personnel in planning inventory storage and arrangements, maintaining effective turnover of inventory and controlling significant inventory items thereby eliminating duplication and enhancing maximum cost-effective usage of hospital inventory.
  • Provides continuous control with retention schedules of hospital-wide administrative files, in accordance with record retention policies and procedures, including reviewing incoming requests for storage, retrieval and disposal of records, maintaining storage logs, and advising unit/departmental personnel regarding records retention procedures.
  • Performs audits of state system-produced reports to ensure ongoing quality control processes regarding financial data, stock levels, and inventory values.
  • Advises and assists unit/department personnel concerning all aspect of User Supply Catalog Inventory Management System Policies and Procedures to ensure optimum customer satisfaction concerning ordering and maintaining adequate supply inventories within their area.
  • Provides training as needed.
  • Inform staff of updates and changes in the policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and assists warehouse staff in conducting annual yearly inventory and maintains inventory records; also prepares necessary reports/documents for verification of inventory and other warehouse records.
