SAIC has an opening for a Records Specialist on the HR Shared Services Team. This role is responsible for researching & analyzing records, utilizing a variety of systems and tools, to provide accurate data and documentation in support of business operations, audits, and compliance requirements. This role is hybrid with at least one day per week in the Oak Ridge, TN office.

Requirements

  • High School and 5 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with excellent data management & organizational skills
  • Ability to independently manage time while being responsible for multiple tasks and assignments with competing priorities and deadlines
  • High level of discretion and professionalism while working with and protecting PHI, PII, confidential and sensitive information
  • Maintains a high standard of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including phone etiquette & formal documentation

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary point of contact for all records related inquiries
  • Fulfills internal and external requests regarding the retrieval of HR records, employee data, policies and procedures. This includes employment verification requests, investigators, audits, subpoenas, unemployment inquiries, etc.
  • Performs data research and analysis to ensure consistent, accurate, and thorough responses to incoming inquiries
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with HR, Legal, and other departments as necessary to ensure appropriate responses to requests
  • Sorts, distributes, and responds to incoming and outgoing mail in accordance with established procedures and deadlines
  • Short and long term projects may be assigned to provide growth opportunities
