About The Position

Successfully deliver solutions for Paul Davis Restoration of Northern Delaware. The Project Manager manages residential, institutional and commercial projects throughout the Northern Delaware area and surrounding counties. You will be responsible for providing the leadership necessary for achieving project objectives through careful planning, staffing, scheduling and budget management while adhering to the highest standards for quality and safety. Key Leadership Responsibilities Oversee the construction project from start to finish Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting and identification of resources needed Development of effective communications for resolving conflicts among various parties Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis. Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards. Ensure project documents are complete, accurate and finalized in a timely manner. Issue purchase orders and work orders to subcontractors, suppliers and vendors. Communicate with Associates and provide project updates on a regular basis Duties and Tasks Procure required project permits Verify subcontractor permits Issue purchase and work orders Order materials as appropriate Prepare project schedules including subcontractor schedules Communicate schedules and updates with property owner regularly Review accuracy of job cost invoices Oversee project closeout Periodic emergency on-call duty required Desired Skills and Experience 5-10 years of construction management experience. Organized, detail-oriented person with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires a sense of urgency in some matters. Paul Davis Restoration of Norther is seeking an individual with proven experience in post-disaster reconstruction activities in a development setting. This position includes managing ongoing reconstruction activities. The perfect candidate will be expected to: · Communicate with Estimating/Sales personnel in the preparation of work orders on all new project · Secure necessary permits · Start jobs in a timely manner · Schedule the completed work order to include: pre-construction on-site meetings when appropriate, sequencing, timing, master scheduling and trades assignments · Maintain constant communication with homeowner · Set proper expectations with insured by providing general project timelines with the customer and identify any job challenges · Inspect all assigned projects for progress · Maintain an electronic file of all job details such as documents, personal inspections, conversations and workflow. A broad understanding of technical, analytical, and project management skills, combined with excellent interpersonal, communications, presentation, and writing skills are a must.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of construction management experience
  • Organized, detail-oriented person with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires a sense of urgency in some matters
  • A broad understanding of technical, analytical, and project management skills, combined with excellent interpersonal, communications, presentation, and writing skills are a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Xactimate estimating software, Excel and Word helpful but not required.
