About The Position

We are seeking a Reconditioner (Recon Technician) to support our Used Car Sales department by enhancing vehicle appearance and ensuring vehicles are frontline-ready quickly and consistently. This hands-on role focuses on paintless dent repair (PDR), cosmetic touch-ups, and light appearance repairs while working closely with our sales, service, and detail teams.

Requirements

• Experience with PDR and cosmetic reconditioning preferred.
• Prior automotive recon, body shop, or detailing experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions.
• High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.

Responsibilities

• Perform paintless dent repair (PDR) on used vehicles.
• Complete paint touch-ups, chip repair, and minor cosmetic corrections.
• Assist with wheel touch-ups, trim repair, and other light cosmetic reconditioning.
• Partner with the Used Car Manager and Fixed Operations Manager to prioritize reconditioning workflow.
• Ensure vehicles meet frontline standards before being listed or displayed.
• Identify cosmetic issues and recommend cost-effective repair solutions.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and tools.
• Support overall recon flow to reduce days-to-sale.
• Perform interior and exterior cleaning using appropriate supplies and equipment.
• Apply polishes, waxes, conditioners, and masking materials to preserve and restore surfaces.
• Maintain supply inventory and monitor equipment for proper operation.
• Inspect vehicles, tools, and equipment for cleanliness and damage.
