About The Position

We are seeking a Reconditioner (Recon Technician) to support our Used Car Sales department by enhancing vehicle appearance and ensuring vehicles are frontline-ready quickly and consistently. This hands-on role focuses on paintless dent repair (PDR), cosmetic touch-ups, and light appearance repairs while working closely with our sales, service, and detail teams.

Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions.
High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with PDR and cosmetic reconditioning preferred.
Prior automotive recon, body shop, or detailing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform paintless dent repair (PDR) on used vehicles.
Complete paint touch-ups, chip repair, and minor cosmetic corrections.
Assist with wheel touch-ups, trim repair, and other light cosmetic reconditioning.
Partner with the Used Car Manager and Fixed Operations Manager to prioritize reconditioning workflow.
Ensure vehicles meet frontline standards before being listed or displayed.
Identify cosmetic issues and recommend cost-effective repair solutions.
Maintain clean and organized work areas and tools.
Support overall recon flow to reduce days-to-sale.
Perform interior and exterior cleaning using appropriate supplies and equipment.
Apply polishes, waxes, conditioners, and masking materials to preserve and restore surfaces.
Maintain supply inventory and monitor equipment for proper operation.
Inspect vehicles, tools, and equipment for cleanliness and damage.
