About The Position

The operator will set up and operate an automated spray line, dry oven, and UV curing tunnel to apply UV coatings to various products. They will be responsible for loading chemicals, monitoring operations, and following safety and quality standards. The operator will manage materials, communicate with supervisors, perform preventative maintenance, and strive for continuous improvement. This physically demanding job requires working in noisy, dusty, and hot environment and occasional heavy lifting.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow SOP's relating to machine operations and personal safety.
• Knowledge and ability to meet QC finishing SOP's using work instructions, visual aids and first pieces quality checks.
• Ability to verify correct part numbers, species, quantities and finishing specifications.
• Must be able to work in environmental factors that include noise, dust and hot weather.
• Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds and repeated 15-20 pounds
• Ability to operate battery powered pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate Reciprocating spray line, including dry oven and curing tunnel for daily operations.
• Loading of chemicals into the pump and spray system.
• Loading/unloading product through the line.
• Monitoring the components of the line to ensure proper operations and quality standards are met.
• Daily cleanup and organization.
• Ensure proper coatings are being used for various product mix and processes.
• Efficient managing of chemicals to reduce unnecessary waste.
• Work closely with supervisor and lead to determine and plan daily production needs and scheduled workloads.
• Communication with Finishing Manager, supervisor and lead to make continuous
• Learn to perform all operator PM's throughout the line
• Ensure PM's are done on time at proper intervals
• Replacement of internal and external filters as needed
• In depth cleaning of spray cabin, infeed/outfeed conveyors and belt cleaning system.
