Paint Line Technical Operator - 1st Shift You will oversee the operation and maintenance of the powder coating line in a manufacturing setting. Your primary duties involve preparing parts for coating, applying powder coating, monitoring the coating process, and ensuring the quality of finished products. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Duties / Responsibilities Provide technical expertise and guidance to painters regarding hanging of parts and application of powder to the parts in the paint booth, techniques, procedures, and equipment selection to achieve high-quality finished product. Take direction from management and engineers to review drawing specifications, develop paint plans, and establish timelines and resource requirements for all paint activities. Demonstrates ownership of entire paint line and department. Ability to Read Blueprints Understands and applies Concepts of 5S Ability to Identify paint line Department Inventory. Adheres to Safety Procedures and Protocols Accurately Reads & Execute Internal Work Orders Consistently Meets Quality Standards in all painted parts Willingly follows Instruction/Direction from Leadership Works Well with a Team Ability to Identify & Report Safety Hazards Required Skills / Abilities Operate paint line equipment and machinery safely and effectively. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality output. Basic computer skills for data entry and machine control. Oversee paint inspections and quality control procedures to ensure that painted components meet industry standards, codes, and customer specifications. Address any quality issues or non-conformities promptly. Provide training, mentorship, and technical support to painters to enhance their skills, knowledge, and proficiency in welding techniques and procedures. Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Previous powder paint experience preferred. Work Environment The work environment will include exposure to manufacturing machinery and potentially noisy conditions. The temperature inside a warehouse can vary. Some warehouses are climate-controlled, while others may not be. Physical Requirements The teammate will frequently lift on average 30lbs throughout the course of a shift, ability to lift up 50 lbs occasionally. The teammate will be required to stand for extended periods of time. The teammate will be required to frequently bend and/or twist throughout the course of a shift. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are often necessary, especially for tasks like for assembly of smaller components.
