About The Position

Recipient Registered Nurse Coordinator The Recipient Registered Nurse Coordinator demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the care of recipient patients. He/she directly reports to the Nurse Manager and should function in an independent manner. He/she takes direction from the Nurse Manager, Medical Director, Assistant Nurse Manager and other physicians as it relates to specific patient care concerns. CCRM is an industry leading pioneer in fertility science, research and advancement, offering access to national network of award-winning physicians, a full suite of fertility services, innovative technology and cutting edge labs. CCRM is currently comprised of eleven locations spanning the U.S. and Canada with growth planned for continued network development on a domestic and international basis.

Requirements

  • Current Colorado Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification.
  • Associates degree from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelors of Nursing degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience required. Women’s Health experience preferred.
  • Must be able to provide safe patient care and display appropriate nursing judgment and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, ability to use basic office equipment.
  • Strong ability to follow procedures and protocols is essential.
  • Must be organized with a strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, have strong attention to detail, and a strong ability to utilize time efficiently.
  • Must have a strong ability to act independently as well as be able to work effectively in a team.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, exhibiting courteous, compassionate, and respectful treatment of internal and external customers at all times.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and make it a priority to consistently communicate positively and professionally with all staff members, physicians and patients.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be a team player and possess a willingness to perform duties that are assigned or delegated in a timely manner.
  • Participate in identifying problems and suggesting solutions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all work information.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality for all patient and clinic information, consistent with established security and confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulation at all times.
  • Understand and assess for domestic violence and child abuse issues and reporting responsibilities. Will report concerns to Medical Director and Nurse Manager.
  • Ability to work weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis with other teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily recipient patient operations.
  • Provide patient teaching, including nursing consult and Lupron consult.
  • Call medication dosages to patients after coordination with the physician.
  • Answer patient questions regarding patient cycles and calendars.
  • Follow up after ultrasound with recipient patient.
  • Assure accountability for recipient patient each day, including ultrasounds, lab test and results, physician order, psychological evaluation outcome, and other related items.
  • Prepare patient for mock cycle(s).
  • Review with physician all patient lab work or workups received from out of state physician offices or laboratories.
  • Provide cycle teaching for all recipient patients.
  • Coordinate donor and recipient calendar.
  • Assure all specific physician instructions are carried out for the recipient’s treatment cycle.
  • Call recipient patient with surgery schedule when donor has hCg hit to schedule progesterone starts and semen collection times.
  • Assure that donor is called for all hits.
  • Assure that recipient has all the workups completed prior to making a calendar.
  • Monitor the number of weekly starts.
  • Track new recipient patient progress on computer database and follow up with patients who are not currently active.
  • Monitor, develop and coordinate care for all gestational carriers.
  • Assist donor nurses with routine postoperative follow up phone calls.
  • Assure that all paperwork on patient EMR is complete and accurate to include: a) assure that all consents are signed in a timely manner; b) assure that copies of stimulation sheets for donor fertilization reports are on the recipient EMR.
  • Orders appropriate lab tests.
  • Responsible for some patient scheduling, such as lab and ultrasound tests.
  • Assure ART data sheets are complete.
  • Assure SART data sheets are complete.
  • Assure pregnancy outcomes are forwarded to SART database.
  • Take after hours call in rotation with other teammates to answer patient emergency calls.
  • Act as a liaison for the recipient patient with business office follow up.
  • Assure that FDA paperwork and testing is complete and signed off by physician.
  • Maintain professional standing by participating in continuing professional education and professional organization memberships.
  • Other duties as assigned.
