JOB SUMMARY The primary responsibility of the Receptionist is to make cabana reservations and welcome guests to the pool complex. This role includes assisting with all guest needs, maintaining cleanliness of the pool deck (including rafts, towels, and restrooms), upselling and booking daybeds and cabanas, and handling retail sales such as rafts, sundries, magazines, and newspapers. The Cabana Receptionist is also responsible for ensuring no glass or unauthorized items enter the pool complex and for following all SNHD rules and regulations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Report to pre‑shift briefing in full uniform Become familiar with guest names and their requested accommodations Make cabana reservations and upsell pool amenities Perform reaching and stooping motions repeatedly for cleaning and stocking tasks Climb ladders as needed to access items on high shelves Provide excellent customer service at all times Remain alert to all activity within the assigned section of the pool area throughout the shift Treat all guests with courtesy and respect Maintain proper grooming standards as outlined in departmental appearance guidelines Notify management immediately of any issues requiring special attention (e.g., guest injuries, guest–employee conflicts) Ensure all guests follow pool rules (e.g., no running, no horseplay, diving safety) PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS This is a fast‑paced environment requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks under time constraints. The Cabana Receptionist must be able to manage high business volumes and respond appropriately to sensitive situations involving guests and staff in a timely manner.
