About The Position

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION: The Receptionist at Tatum Psychology Employment Group is the first point of contact for clients and vendors for our company. The receptionist is responsible for general office tasks, including, but not limited to answering phones, greeting clients, and responding to general inquires for a medical practice. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Front Desk and Client Services Answers phones, greets clients, and responds to general inquiries for a medical practice. Confers with patients by telephone or in person and responds to inquiries about services. Represents the company to all employees, patients, visitors, and vendors in a positive light. Checks in patients, tracks attendance of current attending patients, presents patients with program packet at the time of admission, and collects payments. 2. Office and Facility Management Support Opens mail, organizes office files, and scans/mails documents. Provides light administrative support to employees. Assists clinical and administrative staff with clerical duties. 3. Office and Facility Management Manages the lobby, maintaining a clean and orderly environment and ensuring company standards are being met. Managers and order supplies for the office and clients. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: Performs other duties as may be assigned. Follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures. Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners. Represents TPEG, Inc., by embodying the mission, vision and values of the organization. Travels occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stay. (Compensation for mileage, food and lodging provided.) Maintains regular attendance at work and company activities and demonstrates punctuality regarding deadlines. Displays creativity and vision in recommending new tactics and strategies. Expands and updates job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional learning. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization.
  • Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, regarding patient, employee, and company proprietary information.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance.
