About The Position

We care for patients in the Pre-op, Recovery, and Post-Op phase of care.  We provide inpatient and outpatient services for a variety of surgical patients including ortho, general surgery, urology, spine, and bariatrics. Our unit is a great place to advance your nursing skills to include critical thinking, time management, assessment, and patient satisfaction.  We are a talented team that is very engaged in patient safety, patient satisfaction, and quality.  We have multiple opportunities to be involved in unit-based committees including shared governance, retention, and education. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• 2 years of relevant experience related experience Required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for greeting visitors and/or staff and directing them to the appropriate resource, from a position of high visibility.
• Performs clerical duties to support the area of responsibility.
• Answers telephone and provides/relays information in a manner consistent with caring, respect, and individual needs.
• Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs general clerical duties and completes specials projects as assigned with direction.
