About The Position

The Receptionist at Vista del Mar Hospital serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, providing excellent customer service and administrative support. This role involves managing front desk operations, directing calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting with general inquiries to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the hospital. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using phone systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work in accordance hospital flow to include evenings, weekends & holidays
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls according to established protocols.
  • Assist patients and visitors with general inquiries and direct them to appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and update patient information as it may pertain to visitation or belongings
  • Support other administrative staff with clerical duties as needed.
