About The Position

PRIMARY PURPOSE The Receptionist is responsible for all incoming calls as you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.

Requirements

This position typically requires a high school diploma.
This position requires communication and organizational skills.
This position requires computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
This position requires attention to detail.
Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.
Must be comfortable with office equipment including a computer, telephone, scanner, calculator, laminator, and photocopier.

Responsibilities

Greets, welcomes, and directs visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Notifies appropriate company personnel of visitor arrivals.
Maintains the security and telecommunications systems in the reception area.
Responds to visitor inquiries or directs them to the appropriate contact.
Operates the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
Restocks lobby products and ensures product quality standards are met.
Prepares and assembles gift baskets as needed.
Places and tracks orders for lobby products and supplies.
Counts and balances the cash till in accordance with company procedures.
Assists with seasonal decorating and lobby presentation.
Maintains security by following established procedures, monitoring the visitor logbook, and issuing visitor or vendor badges.
Keeps the reception area clean, safe, and organized in compliance with company policies.
Supports continuity among teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
Contributes to overall team success by completing related duties as assigned.
