Job Summary: The Receptionist is responsible for answering phones and routing calls, taking messages, greeting visitors, accepting, sorting and internally delivering mail and small packages. The position will also assist in keeping lobby area neat and clean and coordinate meetings and special events. The Receptionist will assist with administrative duties involving filing, photocopying, faxing, ordering office supplies and maintaining office equipment. The objective function of the Receptionist position is to ensure the phones are answered professionally and in a timely manner. The Receptionist must perform tasks with minimal supervision. Job Requirements: Maintain a safe work environment. Answer telephones and direct phone calls accordingly. Take messages when necessary. Greet outside visitors in a professional manner. Accept and distribute mail and incoming packages. Maintain the lobby and guest areas. Manage conference room and materials. Maintain all office equipment, ordering supplies and filling with paper, ink, etc. when required. Report any equipment or facility defect(s) or mechanical dysfunctions to Supervisor. Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement. Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Comply with all APP, Inc. safety rules and company policies. Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported. Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time. Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace. May compose and/or draft memos and email correspondence. Administrative duties will involve filing, photocopying, faxing, data entry, scanning, etc. Performs other duties as required. Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
