About The Position

The GlenCove Receptionist is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and warm, friendly ambiance for Members and Guests. This role is responsible for answering the phone, making reservations as required for activities, and providing an accurate and professional check in and check out process.

Requirements

  • Previous retail or service experience preferred.
  • Must be customer service oriented, professional, and able to work independently or part of a team
  • Must have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and resolve guest issues to satisfactory results
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to type, write, file, etc.
  • The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk the property, climb stairs, and sit for periods of time.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Greet each Member or Guest as they enter the Activities Barn.
  • Use their name, if known, and ascertain their needs as they enter
  • Answer phone calls and check voicemail
  • Regulate Amenity Access
  • Assist in booking bowling, golf simulator & pickleball times
  • Answer questions about the property and company
  • Provide members with amenity equipment
  • Ensure the GlenCove facility looks clean and orderly.
  • Due to the nature of this position, confidentiality is always required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the role’s manager
