About The Position

The Receptionist/Customer Service Representative is a dynamic role and a key member of our team, providing exceptional customer service while managing front-desk operations. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and a working knowledge of banking products and services. The ideal candidate is an energetic and self-starting individual who can greet customers warmly and handle a wide range of inquiries and transactions with efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a banking or financial institution.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle cash with accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all incoming customers and direct them to the appropriate area of the bank.
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls, resolving customer issues, and forwarding calls as needed.
  • Process customer transactions accurately, including loan payments.
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of banking products and services to assist customers with questions and identify sales opportunities.
  • Manage the reception area and ensure all necessary forms and information are readily available.
  • Assist with other administrative and clerical tasks as requested by management.
  • Assist in opening and closing the Loan Production Office by following established security procedures.
  • Assist customers with opening new accounts, and explain different product features and benefits.
  • Actively cross-sell bank products and services by identifying customer needs.
  • Perform basic account maintenance, such as updating information, processing wire transfers, and placing stop payments.
