About The Position

The Receptionist is a front-line position responsible for welcoming visitors in person and by phone while providing administrative support to the Community Services Division. Additional duties may be assigned to support departmental goals and operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six (6) months of employment experience in a confidential clerical setting preferred.
  • Must possess certification of “Mandatory Reporter Training” or obtain certification during the first week of employment.
  • Must possess First Aid Certification, including CPR and Life Saving or obtain certification within ninety (90) days of official date of hire in this position.
  • Must possess certification of “ServSafe Training” or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Ability to work odd and irregular hours, including late shift (12:00p.m.-8:00p.m.).
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines .
  • Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
  • Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
  • Maintains absolute confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and make sound judgments.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), skilled in operating office equipment.
  • Works effectively with staff and the public.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and commitment to quality.
  • Follows policies and procedures and completes assignments efficiently.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Greets visitors and provides friendly, professional assistance to the public and Tribal community.
  • Receives and logs program applications and directs them to appropriate staff.
  • Answers and routes incoming calls, taking messages as needed.
  • Enters program data and prepares monthly reports.
  • Assist clients with information to services.
  • Maintains the Community Center calendar for meetings and events.
  • Helps open and close the Community Center and performs general office errands.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
