Position Overview Under the direction of the Receiving Supervisor, the Receiving Lead is responsible for verifying that all Inbound and Outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a lead role warehouse environment
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Safety training and compliance.
  • Great Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Problem solving abilities with key focus on root cause analysis
  • Adaptable, Driven, Fast learner and Team work oriented
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervision, coworkers and others to achieve operational excellence
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Minimal supervision required
  • Forklift Experience Minimum 1 year
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Operational experience preferred
  • Understand SAP & experience working with a variety of WMS
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP Warehouse Management Systems
  • Bilingual, English & Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Assign duties to associates to maximize workflow and efficiency.
  • Ensure documentation is appropriately processed and delivered for each shipment.
  • Communicates detailed plans for product placement and storage while completing documentation for daily close outs with their supervisor.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure team coverage as scheduling and business needs change.
  • Supports Receiving Supervisor and trains/certifies newly hired LTOs
  • Operates industrial powered lift truck in a safe and efficient manner
  • In the absence of the Shift Supervisor the Lead will act as Supervisor as needed
  • Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed
  • Assists Supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning and directing work
  • Assist other Leads and Supervisors by ensuring that policies, procedures, and best practices are being followed.
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
