About The Position

Crusoe Energy is seeking an accomplished and meticulous Receiving Lead to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. As the primary owner of the inbound material process, you will be responsible for the accurate, safe, and efficient receipt, inspection, and initial processing of all equipment and materials. This role is critical for maintaining inventory accuracy and asset readiness while serving as the safety lead for material handling areas. The ideal candidate thrives in an agile environment where compliance and precision are key to supporting our vertically integrated manufacturing and power operations.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience; extensive experience in a dedicated receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of receiving procedures, inventory management, and material handling best practices.
  • Safety Commitment: Proven experience enforcing safety protocols and regulations (OSHA) in a warehouse or industrial environment.
  • Software Proficiency: High level of comfort using inventory management (ERP/WMS) and receiving software.
  • Leadership Traits: Ability to hold a team accountable to KPIs such as receiving accuracy (target ≥98%) and dock-to-stock cycle times.
  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or energy-infrastructure environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or 5S methodologies in a receiving dock setting.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving Process Ownership: Manage all aspects of the inbound dock, including schedule coordination, verifying shipments against Purchase Orders (POs), and ensuring 100% accuracy in the inventory management system.
  • Cycle Time Management: Maintain a dock-to-stock cycle time of 24 hours or better, ensuring all materials are logged, labeled, and routed correctly based on quality status.
  • Quality & Quarantine Coordination: Partner with the Quality team to manage inspections, RMAs, and nonconforming products, ensuring proper isolation to prevent contamination of active inventory.
  • Safety Leadership: Serve as the safety lead for receiving areas, enforcing lifting standards, PPE requirements, and equipment protocols to maintain zero safety incidents.
  • Equipment Training: Train and certify team members on forklift operation and overhead crane signaling, ensuring full compliance for all operators.
  • Inventory Readiness: Ensure a highly organized staging area using lane marking, FIFO rotation, and clean work zones to support immediate production needs.
  • Audit & Documentation: Track and maintain detailed, audit-ready records for all shipments, including packing slips, inspection findings, and nonconformance reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and lead at least two measurable process improvement initiatives per year using root-cause analysis.
  • Team Collaboration: Manage receiving personnel and collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Inventory teams to prioritize "hot" parts and resolve supplier discrepancies.
