Receiving/Inventory Clerk

About The Position

Responsible for the accurate physical receiving of materials and products to maintain the integrity of inventory control and ensure timely delivery to the proper department. The role also supports inventory management through cycle counts, transfers, and periodic physical inventories.

Requirements

Forklift certification and ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Windows-based computer applications.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Basic mathematics skills; electronics knowledge a plus.
Ability to comply with company safety policies and procedures.
Effective communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency with standard office equipment (telephone, copier, fax, calculator, email).
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1+ year of inventory control or warehouse experience preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Repetitive work requiring strong dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
Ability to lift packages up to 60 pounds and use material handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

Receive all deliveries and log them accurately into the ERP system.
Verify incoming items against purchase orders and ensure proper certifications, processes, and paperwork are included.
Maintain and update the internal inventory system, entering all related data into ERP.
Perform cycle counts and periodic physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
Transfer materials and hardware to other locations as required.
Work closely with Process Planning to ensure vendors meet delivery requirements.
Collaborate with Quality Control to validate compliance with specifications and certifications.
Create and verify part identification procedures to meet drawing requirements.
Communicate problems or discrepancies to management and assist in identifying solutions.
Maintain a safe, efficient, and clean work environment in the Receiving and Inventory areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
