Job Position Summary: The Receiving Inspector ensures the integrity and suitability of manufactured goods for delivery to customers. Performs inspection of parts according to customer specifications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Strong attention to details
  • Time-management skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
  • Ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators.
  • Required to pass annual eye exam by licensed optometrist.
  • Must have ability to read applicable customer/B&E documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
  • Inspects, records, and maintains documentation as it related to all incoming details.
  • Receives, verifies records, scans, and oversees all Certificate of Conformances for outside operations and details into internal computer system.
  • Documents all instances of rejected product or material on required forms.
  • Documents appropriate information for quality inspection records and reports.
  • Creates and maintains current files for all quality related documentation.
  • Reports any unusual discrepancies or problems promptly to supervisor.
  • Takes initiative in suggesting new inspection methods or ideas.
  • Receives, inspects, and moves all parts coming in from outside operations to their appropriate destinations.
  • Packs, ships and receives deliveries as required.
  • Receives and tracks all age-sensitive materials.
  • Follow 6S procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
