The Receiving Coordinator enters received item data into System 2 1, WMS,YMS and JDE, files receiving documents, communicates with and supports departments to ensure items received are accurately recorded and availability is communicated; notify departments of item availability or merchandise issues; ensures inventory is accurately recorded and accounted for; investigates and corrects errors; and provides excellent customer service while serving as a contact person between vendors/truck drivers and the plant. Ensures the efficient checking in and out of trucks receipt of goods to produce; uses the Yard Management System (YMS) to check in drivers and assigns trailers; Uses WMS (Warehouse Management System) to coordinate receipt of goods; prepares and follows up on shipment paperwork; communicates with internal and external drivers to coordinate trailer loading; provides primary liaison and problem solving services related to loading outbound orders. Perform daily data entry and order processing into WMS. Perform WMS maintenance and training. Recommend WMS enhancements and continuous improvement of WMS processes. Respond to general WMS questions and engage in problem solving activities. Develop and implement receipt of goods best practices. Execute processes, reports and data entry in WMS. Recommend WMS software improvements. Coordinate carrier check-in, door assignment, and verify/release orders. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices. Support overall safety program (policies, inspections, investigations, training and follow-up) in all actions and interactions. Work closely with Supervisor to improve work-related skills, which will lead to improved performance and benefit my professional growth as well as the company's success. Implement a Performance Development Plan for myself that will facilitate my improvement in at least 1 competency at any given time and facilitate improving my performance against position description outcomes. Maintain inventory records. Perform cycle counts and month-end physical inventories. Ensure compliance with federal and state required labeling on cases before the cases are shipped by supporting the staging and recon crews with direction and materials. Coordinate Outbound Order appointments and hand out tasks to loading crews. Continuously use and update the priority system to ensure efforts are focused on position outcomes and priorities. Update progress and successes in the Priority System. Document processes and continuously improve Receiving Center Processes. Archive and make available SOP's and master copies of documents. Streamline the document management flow (BOL's, scan folders, archives, etc.) to reduce unproductive activities. Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to coordinate the efficient receipt of goods. Check in truck drivers and assign trailers to a dock door. Print, scan, procure signatures, distribute, and file all shipment paperwork (BOL, packing list). Communicate with internal and external truck drivers to coordinate trailer loading. Distribute tasks to union labor forklift crews. Respond to schedule and carrier changes. Provide primary liaison and problem solving services related to outbound orders. Send daily ship log e-mail. Develop and continuously sharpen a career development plan. Identify and focus on areas or skills needed to advance career with that plan.
