About The Position

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing inbound shipments in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures incoming materials are received correctly in the ERP system, stored appropriately, and made available to downstream teams while maintaining inventory accuracy, compliance standards, and a clean, organized work area.

Requirements

  • Prior receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with experience operating an ERP system.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and adherence to scheduled breaks.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring a full range of motion.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound shipments and verify quantities, part numbers, and condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Accurately process receipts and perform data entry in the ERP system (Odoo).
  • Identify, document, and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Label, stage, and store received materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Coordinate with Inventory, Purchasing, and Finance teams to resolve receiving issues.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, organization, and documentation.
  • Participate in regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Ensure compliance standards are met when handling regulated products.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including OSHA standards and injury reporting guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient receiving area.
  • Proactively identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Perform other related warehouse duties as assigned.
