MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Valid driver’s license. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: 1. Three (3) months clerical experience in hospital stores department. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Processes and receives all supplies and equipment and distributes them to respective areas and maintains complete documentation of deliveries and files for deliveries in-house. 2. Receives incoming products at loading dock. Inspects items for damages or defects; verifies accuracy of shipment and matching items by code numbers, size and description on invoice, packing slips and purchase orders. Responsible to contact vendor regarding any or all of the above. Enters receipt of all items through Lawson system. 3. Reports substitute items or discrepancies in shipment and stock-outs, rejected items for poor quality or incorrect items on a daily basis to the Supply Coordinator. Signs delivery slip and marks information including items unit code and date received. 4. Carries or conveys items from receiving area to designated storerooms; stores perishable items on proper shelves. 5. Receives outgoing commodities for shipment from hospital departments; processes necessary paperwork and ships outgoing items via approved carriers. Tracks shipping when necessary. 6. Assist with physical inventory in stores. 7. Notify Fiscal Services and BioMed of acquisitions of all capital equipment as it is received. 8. Ability to retrieve MSDS sheets from PC program. 9. Keeps dock areas clean and orderly at all times by sweeping and properly discarding boxes. 10. Attends necessary meetings and inservices to meet educational requirements and for communication. 11. Daily morning delivery of receipts to the bank. 12. Operates moving equipment, pilot jacks, carts, and dolly. 13. Responsible for receiving dietary supplies and stocking shelves and freezer and rotating stock. 14. Act as a Courier when emergency supply is needed.
