Windings is seeking a detail-driven Receiving Clerk to play a critical role in maintaining supply chain integrity and operational continuity. In this position, you will ensure that all incoming and transferred materials are accurate, properly documented, and available to support scheduled production. This role sits at the intersection of Receiving, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer Service — making you a key contributor to on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and overall manufacturing excellence. Requirements

  • Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid computer proficiency and comfort working within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (per company policy).
  • DOT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Inspection Inspect incoming shipments for external damage and authorize receipt via Bill of Lading. Initiate and manage freight claims for damaged shipments using Windings freight accounts. Match incoming materials to purchase orders and verify quantities. Label materials per procedure and notify Incoming Inspection when materials are ready. Scan and archive shipment documentation for all inventoried materials.
  • Inventory & System Accuracy Process raw material and finished goods receipts, including subcontracted/LCR assemblies. Maintain accurate records in systems such as Material Tracking, Unipoint, and SYSPRO. Support material transfers between Windings facilities, LCR locations, and intercompany sites. Assist remote facilities with resolving material discrepancies. Log capital equipment into asset management systems and apply asset tags.
  • Quality & Compliance Coordinate documentation approvals with Quality. Create non-conformance records and perform containment activities in alignment with Windings QMS. Collect and record Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information; coordinate storage with Safety & Compliance. Support documentation of processes and work instructions under the QMS framework.
  • Operations Support Operate hand trucks and related equipment to safely move materials. Support customer return (RMA) processing. Contact suppliers to obtain missing shipment documentation. Cross-train within the Materials Control Team to provide operational coverage. Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a clean, organized receiving dock and workstation to promote safety and FOD control.
