About The Position

The Receiving Clerk ensures the security, control and distribution of inventory in the hotel storerooms, coolers and basement areas; and ensures these areas are kept in an exceptionally clean and orderly manner at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Receives products; verifies accuracy of delivery; and provides quality assurance.
  • Returns/refuses to accept products that do not meet the company’s high standards and expectations.
  • Issues beverage product to service team according to established requisitioning and inventory control procedures
  • Ensures the organization and cleanliness of all food and beverage storerooms and basement areas.
  • Conducts weekly inventory of beverage and dry goods storerooms.
  • Expedites requisitions for champagne, wine, and liquor for guest bottle service.
  • Maintains par levels by enforcing the standard operating procedure of filling requisitions for liquor bottles only upon receipt of empty bottles (one for one procedure).
  • Assists Inventory Control Manager/Beverage Manager in labeling and scanning all liquor into inventory.
  • Assists in bottle shredding and disposal of full glass receptacle.
  • Breaks down and disposes of all cardboard boxes at the end of each shift.
  • Assists Beverage Manager in performing bar audits daily, weekly, and monthly and as needed.
  • Assists Inventory Control Managers by shelving all dry good items stored within the hotel basement storerooms in an orderly manner as needed.
  • Distributes received items, equipment and materials to the appropriate departments as directed by Receiving Clerks
  • Issues stock items from Food & Beverage storerooms and adjusts inventory spreadsheets to physical count.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
