About The Position

To handle duties of all incoming and outgoing materials in support of production. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Adherence to established safety policies, procedures and practices Supports the organization’s efforts toward continuous improvement Supports the organization’s goals and values Demonstrates teamwork by collaborating with others to improver overall standards of performance and service Provides good customer service to all customers, both internal and external Detect and report defective materials, equipment or facilities to immediate supervisor. Maintain supplies at an adequate level. Maintain work area in clean, orderly condition and practice 5S procedures. Perform various duties as assigned. Perform work in compliance with quality and environmental procedures. Must be available to work flexible schedule with little notice as required by business needs. Receiving: Verify all incoming shipments for accuracy (item, quantity, vendor, PO#) and accurately enter receipt into ERP system. After receipt of material, print and apply receiving labels to correct items. Responsible for warehouse organization, accuracy of storage and safety. Unload trucks in a timely manner. Maintain file of supplier packing slips and resolve receiving discrepancies. Load outbound trucks and assist drivers with documentation. Adhere to all customer defined label/packaging requirements. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required or one to three months related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the interviewer.
  • Basic computer/Windows knowledge required.
  • Must possess ability to learn various computer systems for data entry.
  • Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
