About The Position

Job Summary: The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely receipts of all inbound materials. This role ensures shipments are verified against purchase documentation, properly recorded in the inventory system, and staged or routed to the appropriate next step in the process. The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production continuity, and identifying issues before they impact operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ year of receiving, inventory, or material handling experience (manufacturing preferred).
Comfort working with ERP systems, inventory software, or digital receiving logs.
Must have a strong attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
Forklift experience a plus (or willingness to get certified).

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
Identify discrepancies (quantity, damage, wrong parts) and escalate immediately.
Accurately enter receipts in the ERP/inventory system in real time.
Label, tag, and stage materials for production, inspection, or storage.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Quality, and Production on all material issues.
Maintain organized, safe, and clearly marked receiving and staging areas.
Support cycle counts and inventory audit as needed.
