RECEIVING CLERK I SUMMARYVerify and keep records on incoming shipments. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and receiving merchandise or material; unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and the transportation of products. Deliver or route materials to departments or vendors, using work devices, such as company truck, conveyor, or forklift. Delivers and retrieves wire and equipment form the raw materials storage to shop floor and/or moves production parts to various operations. Performs stocking and re-stocking, ensuring that all product and materials have accurate weight and/or piece count. Prepares pallets, loads, and unloads raw material and finished product onto truck, vans, or automobile for deliveries. Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers Verifies that all product and materials have accurate and appropriate identification tags, documentation, and/or paperwork. Reports any mechanical problems encountered with forklifts and powered lifts Performs cycle counting. Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit. Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations. Adheres to all company health, safety, and environmental polices and procedures.
