Receiving Assistant - Receives, verifies, stores and distributes all incoming materials, products and supplies for warehouse area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• A minimum of 1 year of related experience with basic math skills (accuracy is a must).
• Basic computer skills, good oral and written communication skills, ability to work without close supervision.
• Physically able to perform moderately heavy physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory accuracy and integrity at all times.
• Follows all facility policies and procedures, including, but not limited to the employee handbook. 3. Receives miscellaneous supplies and materials ordered for assigned site.
• Unloads shipments from delivery vehicles as necessary.
• Verifies accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against packing slips as well as purchase order.
• Checks for damaged goods and initiates damage claims as necessary.
• Notifies Warehouse office of errors, damaged goods, or any other issue, in order for office to communicate and rectify with the purchasing or claims.
• Documents goods and date received, uses scanner to receive all part numbered items into System 9. Properly receives materials in order to facilitate proper labels with Toto USA barcoded label if not already so labeled
• Properly identifies received goods using current cone and label systems.
• Delivers non part numbered packages, boxes and goods internally in accordance to established procedures. 11. Works with material pickups/deliveries with various transporting companies (UPS, Federal Express,
• Refers non-routine problems to Supervisor.
• Communicates with Purchasing and Accounting departments as needed.
• Performs physical inventory of received materials as requested.
• Assists shipping as needed.
• Maintains good housekeeping practices (5S), follows all safety rules and abides by all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Follows and supports ISO related activities, and encourages other associate to follow ISO recommendations.
• Actively contributes to and facilitates continuous improvement and cost reduction initiative program projects for assigned area as well as plant wide.
• Works diligently, requiring very limited supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
